The Start of Something...Old!

THE BATTLE OF LE’ HIGH ROAD

As the early morning mists began to fade, the blood red banners of the Druchii could be seen on the horizon. A crackle of purple magic shot across the sky from the east, marching with bones of death. Deep green cloaks fluttered out of the southern forests with a thunder of steeds. The gathering of armies sized each other up across the sands.
The Sand Arisers, a mighty force from the valley of the Tomb Kings. Daricka’s dancing death, wood elf forest sprites from Athel Loren and the Battalion of the Northern Realms; Malus Darkblade and his dark ones from Naggaroth.
Movements being slow, still sluggish from the hour, but the armies meet in a flurry of wings, the screech of carrions and a whistle of arrows. Chariots, horses and bowmen fall to magic, as elf and skeleton alike fall to sword.
The ground shakes beneath their feet as a great rumbling rattles over the battlefield. In a burst of sand, gravel and grass a great orange scorpion erupts from beneath, only to face down its own army. Confusion and misdirection befalls the Tomb Kings as the battle progressed. Using this to his advantage, Malus Darkblade lunged into battle. Before the day was over the mighty Tomb Prince had fallen beneath the sword of Malus Darkblade.
Turning his attention to Daricka, Malus managed to inflict enough damage that she faded amongst the leaves into the ground. The army remained steadfast despite the threat of the remaining Tomb Kings and Dark Elves presented. The fight became all too much for the Tomb Kings, after suffering the loss of their leader and they fell suddenly into a cloud of bones and dust, as if they never where, the wind scattering the once-bone across the battlefield.
In the aftermath, the Dark Elves and Wood Elves survey each other across the great divide of the valley and continued on their way. Until next time...

Points were as follows:

DARK ELVES           1005        11
WOOD ELVES           710          8
TOMB KINGS             90           3

Tomb King General
